Role Purpose:
The senior Accountant will provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to achieve the ultimate goal of Luminus Education.
Overseeing the accounting department’s daily operations, managing financial functions, having a problem-solving attitude, and being able to manage junior accountants are the main responsibilities of this position.
- Job Description
- Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank accounts.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing.
- Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
- Assist with annual and interim audits and provide all audit requirements.
- Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department.
- Delegate financial responsibilities to the accounting team.
2. Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CMA or CPA is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience, with a minimum of 2 years experience as a Senior Accountant.
- Excellent written and spoken skills in Arabic and English.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Must be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
